Alright, so I was attempting to install XP with boot camp and came to selecting what partition to install XP to. I thought I had already created a windows partition but apparently I hadn't. I didn't realize this at the time and stupidly started formatting my FUCKING OS X PARTITION (luckily nothing of importance there). So, after I realized my mistake, I got out my OS X install CDs to try reinstalling. Well, things go fine till I need to select a destination. Nothing shows up. I went to disk utility and it is detecting my hard drive, but they don't show up in the installer. Wtf is wrong with my macbook?

windows needs something called a master boot record, while osx needs guid

In disk utility click the drive, click the tab for partitions, select 1 partition at the bottom click options and select GUID.

then format the drive, then you should be golden.
