I would love to become a Military Police officer (fail) in the Canadian Army (fail). I graduated college ( community college to you americans). The Canadian army require a Law and security/police foundations diploma to enter ; I graduated with one. I currently work as a security guard. I am currently going to University for Sociology (fail). I find it extremely boring. I need excitement in my life. The pay is decent 60k a year , I've always wanted to become a police officer.

I have a Girlfriend which most of you would say is a "ball and chain with make up". I love her i do.
Can your SO live on base with you? do you have to be married?

I'm about 65% sure that i want to join (it grows each day). Id love to serve

Don't let being bored with college be a reason to join. I joined because I was bored with my job and home life, had a college education, and now a year later I regret it. I still do my job, maintain happiness, and get high evals, but its difficult at times. After a year and a half, the newness factor wears off and your like "fuck, this again" day-in and day-out.

Would not say regret was the right word...There is a certain pride that comes with being in the military. Maybe just not the right decision. Every ones experience will be different. I guess just make sure you do it for the right reasons.
