I'm still holding on. I was switched to night shift at the end of December. They are sending a day guy to Cali for a month so I have to cover his shift for a month and then go back to nights. We are idling down in March for 3 weeks and I may have to use most of my vacation to get paid. And our raises are "delayed" until summer. At least I still have my job though.

Lost my good graduate job, they gave it too me for 3 weeks and then said 'we are dissolving this department' so now im a lab monkey at a hospital in the pathology department doing something totally unrelated to my degree.

I am thinking about teaching, seems like a recession proof job.

    Shitty deals my brosephs.

It's working out well for me right now... in my occupation there's not even people to fill the demand (in my city at least anyways).

If any of you guys come by winnipeg... beers on me. :h5:

well i filled out the paperwork to work for them and went back to check to see if the manager looked at my application, and he was like "oh we didn't look at it yet, but we're not hiring" then went on to talk to his friend about D&D or somehting, i'm kinda glad i didn't get that place, i'll look at the other place in town.

Well i guess the solace we can all get from getting laid off is that we train, and we understand that there is more to life than just a job unlike a lot of people in the world today who are just concerned about monetary issues.

For me personally training helps clear my head of my financial troubles and keeps me focused on the important things in life like family, friends and training in an art.

Having said that, having money for some beers would be nice for a change :p
