Real egg whites vs. egg white protein shakes

    I hate egg whites, but I have to eat them as part of my diet.

    Would it be OKAY to drink 100% egg white protein shakes in place of the real egg whites? The amount of protein and everything else in the 100% egg white protein powder is the exact same as if I just ate the real egg whites, but I don't know if it would make a difference.

    good question, not sure if egg protein powder has all the same vitamins and minerals that real eggs do

    it's close enough... check the nutritional contents on the supplement you're looking at... egg white is mostly just water and protein... the chalaza (part that connects the white and yolk) has b vitamins and whatnot

    theres enough disease going around to not have to eat raw egg whites.

    yeah dont ever eat anything(protein oriented - meat, eggs etc) raw you dont utilize anywhere near the amount of protein. but like said above egg white is mostly protein with just a couple vitamins which would make no big difference if you found a substitute.
