So there is this crappy HP at work that has the hidden rescue partition set up for the drivers and junk....but it is 40 gigs! :ugh: Can I use Partition Magic or something like that to cut it down and get some of that space back? I don't want to delete that partition 'cause they want it saved and it is formatted in Fat32. Soo can I convert some of that to NTFS and add it back to the main partition? :x:

Please use a font color that is easier to read.

You can use partition magic to resize(or totally get rid of) that partition.. Just be aware that it could take a LONG time to run.

Would it be quicker if I just made the rescue partition smaller, and then created another partition with that space? Instead of adding it to the "local disk" partition?

usually, the drivers, etc, that are in the rescue partition can be used to create a rescue dvd and the partition can be gotten rid of
