as you can see the paints fading. I was wondering if there was a way to make it look dark. Like for instance. When I get it wet... the paint looks nice.

Is there a way to keep that "wet" look?? Wax just takes off the paint....

wax takes off the paint? that means the clear is gone unless its single staged. if its single staged, you can polish it back up. do you see any spots flaking off like there was clear on it before? if it did had clear on it, polish even the lighest one will take off more. i dont think theres permanent help with that besides repainting it. you can polish and seal it but it will come back. i knew this guy that had a single staged suburban, a very old one and he polished it back up to looking new.

All older GM paint is single stage.

If you polish at it with a good heavy polish, you can get back to fresh paint, and make it look like new again.

It will be removing some of the pigment layer on the paint, its jsut the nature of single stage. DOnt be affraid of it though, youve got plenty there to go through before you hit metal.

Like Buck-O said, you are going to have to polish off the dead paint to get to the good paint underneath. The stickies are your friend. :)

Optimum polish, PC, light cutting pad, or a polishing pad.
