I personally have not exeraince with then, but they seem to only be good for slahsing you completely lose the ability to use it as a stabbing weapon.

Personally I just carry a standard blade of some sort and I keep it sharp, I know its not as shape as a razor, but it came come close.

Plus I get to use it for wittling or cutting an apple or a million other things that come up in the course of life.

There is nothing that says you can't keep a regular knife as sharp as that, all it is is a knife with a straight edge and no point, i've held them before. I would shop for one with a point

I don't see the point in that. It's a regular knife with a differently shaped blade. I'd rather have a half serrated standard point knife.

stupid. You limit your uses with it to just slashing. If you are going to get a knife, get one that you can slash AND pierce with.

If you don't think your "pointy" knife is sharp enough to defend you then stop buying shitty knives. And just because that knife is styled after a straight razor it doesn't mean it's sharp. Infact, it's only $8.99, so it probably sucks.

also make sure you tell your attacker to hold on a sec while you search your pocket for your knife and then use both hands to open it.

The only plus I see with these are that they are smaller/slimmer than a regular utility knife plus they have a clip. Razor blades are no where near as stout as a normal knife blade nor do they have a really suitable blade length so they're not that great for an every day knife.

On the other hand you could use them at work opening boxes or whatever but I always just carried a $4 metal stanley in my back pocket because it was just as quick to deploy and cost nothing.

Those are really useful as tools and absolute crap as defensive weapons. I use mine to cut wire sheath, and other light duty uses, one too many times cutting angularly or putting sideways stress on the blade SNAP. Now it's useless.

Get a good quality knife, and pray that the addiction stops with one.

If done right (and with purpose) I only need one hand to pull my knife out...

I don't open my CQC7 in my pants, but I can open it pretty fast. My Benchmade Auto Spike is my fastest opener. Here are a few of mine.

I use one of thoes razor blade knives every day in the construction field. they are great. anything happens to the blade and you just replace it, replacing razor blades is alot cheaper and easier then having to sharpen a knive every day

you cant carry a razor knive into a court house tho
