Do you have to have a separate program to adjust RAW images, or can you use photoshop?

I want to try some pics in it, but the cd that came with my camera is at home (I'm at school).

Go to adobes website and see if your camera is supported by the version of the raw plugin you have on your system. If you have an older version download the most recent plug in.

yup, you need it to read CRW. CR2 means it doesn't yet support that camera. You'll need the new plug-in

If it's not recognized look on your cam's webpage for a plugin

    = terrible colors

    I use C1 pro/nikon view/nikon capture

when i used CS with latest raw plugin the colors were dulled down like crazy, same color profile and everything...Nikon software and i'm sure canon software read their own raw files better than PS

Do you guys usually shoot in RAW? I certainly notice the difference, but is it worth the extra step of importing it into photoshop and going through all the rigemaroll?

I personally like RAW better.... It holds the shadow and highlight details much better than JPGS. But I do agree w/ canonshooter. I guess it depends where your pics are going.
