If you expose correctly, RAW is meaningless.
Except it is lossless, where jpeg loses quality every time you re-save.
Then don't use it, I don't.
I just recently discovered the joys of raw. Too bad I can only fit a fifth of the pictures on my MD than I can with jpeg.
the advantages of raw are in post processing -- but in terms of image quality, if you got it right, you got it right -- jpeg or raw and with jpeg, it is 99% the same
I suck at getting proper exposures sometimes- having a little bit of leeway with that helps a bit
Ill get to posting the pics i took today.
Its just a pain in the ass to sort through and edit 100 pics right now.
I've only done the whole 'photography' thing for a month or two
jpegs don't degrade if you keep saving them unless you're using a 10 year old program
the best thing about raw is being able to adjust white balance. you can do a lot if you want to get creative.
Bring over/underexposed pix back to life!
wait till tomash finds out
