Rate my work out?!?!??!

    I know ill get a ton of hate because of the FN elitists who see Bill Starr as their lord and savior, but ill share it anyway. I only have about 2 months to gain weight as wrestling season will start so im going to be killing my body.

    Monday-

    3x10 chin ups, close grip
    3x10 chin ups, shoulder-width grip
    3x10 chin ups, wide grip
    3x10 pull ups, close grip
    3x10 pull ups, shoulder-width grip
    3x10 pull ups, wide grip

    5x10 barbell curls
    5x10 dumbell curls
    5x10 dubell hammer curls
    5x10 cable curls

    Tuesday-

    3x10 Squats
    3x10 Leg Press
    3x10 barbell lunges
    3x50 free-hand squats
    3x50 lunges

    5x25 sit-ups
    5x15 leg raises
    5x20 decline sit-ups
    3x40 crunches
    3x50 bicycle kicks

    Wednesday-

    3x10 chin ups, close grip
    3x10 chin ups, shoulder-width grip
    3x10 chin ups, wide grip
    3x10 pull ups, close grip
    3x10 pull ups, shoulder-width grip
    3x10 pull ups, wide grip

    Thursday-

    4x5 Bench
    5x8 DB Bench
    5x10 (overhead DB bench?)
    5x8 DB Incline Bench
    5x10 Cable flys
    3xfailure pushups

    5x25 sit-ups
    5x15 leg raises
    5x20 decline sit-ups
    3x40 crunches
    3x50 bicycle kicks

    Friday-

    3x10 chin ups, close grip
    3x10 chin ups, shoulder-width grip
    3x10 chin ups, wide grip
    3x10 pull ups, close grip
    3x10 pull ups, shoulder-width grip
    3x10 pull ups, wide grip

    Saturday-

    Rest

    Sunday-

    5x5 DB Bench
    5x10 DB Incline Bench
    5x10 DB Decline Bench
    5x10 Cable Flys
    5xFailure Pushups

    5x25 sit-ups
    5x15 leg raises
    5x20 decline sit-ups
    3x40 crunches
    3x50 bicycle kicks

    Good luck doing 180 pullups in one workout three days a week.

    Generalized breakdown:

    Arm dominant exercises - 74 sets per week
    Chest dominant exercises - 47 sets per week
    Back dominant exercises - 54 sets per week, all of which are pullups
    Shoulder dominant exercises - 5 sets per week
    Leg dominant exercises - 15 sets per week
    Ab/core dominant exercises - 63 sets per week



    It's pretty horrendous

    I actually do a lot of shoulder exercises but i dont know the names so i didnt list them :o

    Bill Starr has more training knowledge in his left nut than your entire school's coaching staff combined.

    Hmm.. a strength coach to the NFL and other sports, or knowledge from a highschool wrestler?

    In all seriousness, your routine sucks.

    I did it last summer before the season. Gained 15lbs of muscle in 3 months :o No, its not impossible

    Shoulders aside, it still sucks. Pick one that sucks less - there are thousands.

    Do less sets all on your own?

    I experimented with doing high sets of pullups but with 1min or less rest between set but kept my reps relatively low (between 5-8).

    I read a study comparing the strengths of wrestlers to weightlifters and to bodybuilders. Long time ago though but IIRC wrestlers were dominant in lower body and pulling strength. So maybe more legs? Though I'm relectant to say that when it should actually be just less of some exercises.
