Pur and Chris helped me get out of a plateau by putting together a diet very similiar to the diet featured in the Cut Diet book. I wasn't doing it 100% correct, but I still lost 18lbs by doing it the incorrect way. Mostly instead of one meal being a carb refeed, it was 180-200g of carbs spread out over the whole day. Been doing this for 6-8 weeks.

I put this together real quick. Review, tell me what you think. Those familiar with the Cut Diet book should find this close to the 2000cal diet, but not quite there. Note tabs at the bottom.

I am 192 as of this morning, and been sitting there for about 3 weeks. I'm targetting 175-180 as my extreme lowest.

how are you preparing the chicken? 40g of carbs seems really low.. how long do you plan on keeping this up?

I usually just foreman grill it and eat it with some type of BBQ sauce. Forget the kind I'm using now, but fairly low carb, low cal. Kraft maybe..

Doing this until I lose another 15lbs or so at least.

that's what the cut diet is all about right? getting yourself into ketosis for 3 days and then refeed on the carbs on the 3rd day at the last meal... (7 meals per day, refreed "carb load" on meal 21)

    :dunno:

You won't be in ketosis, there's too much protein.

I don't think the cut diet is a ketogenic diet. Ketogenic diet need to have a limited amount of protein (150-200g I think) and have to be fat dominant.
I think most people like the fact that you don't have to think, you just follow the plan.

I'm using the book as a tool to tweak the existing diet. I was already doing this before the book came out, just not as strict. Cals were a tad higher too.

 Must be nice. I can't wait to bulk so that I can ease up and actually enjoy meal time again.

Chicken is getting old, but I'll deal. It'll be worth the results. I've already lost the initial 18lbs doing this - so I know it works.

I can do that on Fridays I suppose.. Fridays were a little more difficult to get to the gym then the other days anyway.

Looks very similar to the diet I constructed after reading through the cutdiet book.

What supps are you on? Do you take the recommended ones in the book or just Xtend and ON whey?

Were you on at that time ? There's a risk that someone else won't be in ketosis with this intake though because some of protein will be converted to carb. Maybe because of your muscle mass you can get away with it but I guess we should rely on the sticks to be sure.
