A&P rate my photo v. newbie

    I went out for the first time and took a lot of photos at the fishing lake area. i like these 2 the best.

    enhanced of course w/ ps cs2

    i like the first one. i would like it more if it was shot landscape with her at the left and where she is looking to to the right. maybe a hair less depth of field.

    maybe if you used a tutorial for ps to "paint" her, that would be sweet.

    mm i don't really get what you mean by "paint". bad editing?

    #1 is nice, if a little blown on the highlights, but it's not much.
    #2 is really good, if a little center weighted.
    :)

    just noticed 2 is a bit blown too, but it's not much again, hardly noticed it.

    I like number two a lot actually. I think it needs some tweaking cause her dress kinda blends in with the background but it has potential. One is good too but a little bit more contrast would help it cause the background looks too gray (theres no real range of black-gray-whites)

    mm when u mean blown do you mean its too bright?

    Yes, too bright or in photography terms over exposed. So the details are "blown" away. (IE white shirt where certain parts are too bright and you lose the details of wrinkles.)

    the last one would have been nice with a small DOF

    Sahasrara; magnetic violet infinite
    in the first one, try placing her towards the left of the frame.
    she's staring off to her left, so give her some visual space in that direction.
