So I bought all this stuff a few years ago, and I didn't really know much about speakers and stuff, and I still don't really, so I am just wondering if I am right to think this is a pretty nice system or did I waste my money when lesser known brands would have performed just the same or better?

I got a Harman/Kardon AVR-645 and a full 7.1 set of Infinity Primus speakers (the better ones in each category, like, the mains are Primus 360's, not 250's).

That's a decent mid-fi system. The question is, how do you like it? I'm old school and don't really go for HT, But that's just me.

My home stereo s/u consists of and Adcom GFA555 amp (300Wx2), Adcom GFT 545 pre-amp/tuner, and a Nakamichi 5 disc changer. Speakers are Polk Audio SDA-1C's

Most of my music is recorded in stereo, so I'm not even sure how it would sound in a HT system.

I still listen to my music in 2.0 with "PureDirect" on. Unless it's one of my few DTS disks made for surround sound listening.
