    That was my last set of 5x5 (I know I did 6.) I haven't really tried to get my 1RM. I'm just wondering if my form is ok for repping. :sad2:

    No, thats too light, you need to be straining somewhat dude, dont be afraid to miss a weight, every now and again.

    that weight does not look hard what so ever, If that is your last set and you can do six, you need mopre weight. If you fail, then just dont go that heavy again. you are not going to loose all you lean bodymass from failing on an exercise once.

    yeh if your JUST started, dont go balls to the wall. if youre not used to stressing your muscles for 1rm's, take time to gradually build to that level. but 5 x 5 is fine. not bad for starting out.

    The first vid I was DLing 125, I just did 170 for 5 reps, although watching it now my form turned to shit. It didn't look to bad until I hit the top and my back stays kind of leaning forward instead of straightening out. I really wasn't aware of it at the time, though... vid is uploading now.

    your back is rounded...try looking upward and keep an arch. what i do is pinch your shoulder blades together when bringin up the bar. also bring your hips closer to the bar.

    i suggest you find someone at the gym to instruct you on the deadlift that knows exactly what or she is doing.

    yeah dude, if you could not do atleast bodyweight for reps, then you may wanna invest in a mining company and dig up all those magnets under the ground there.

    I'm still struggling to keep my lower back straight. When I first pull on the bar it takes a second for it to come off the ground. Part of it is I'm simply tired right now from repeatedly trying to do this right. I tried putting the weight more on my heels but it felt a little awkward. Also I pulled it back a little when I got it to the top. :dunno: Am I improving at all?
