Terrible. If you're looking to cut, you need to cut down on the carbs a lot. Have some carbs post-workout, and breakfast if you must, but otherwise your meals should be all protein + fat with some veggies thrown in.

I guess if you're lifting and sprinting every day in 2 separate sessions, it's not that bad to have that many carbs. But I don't see how one could do that every day and make progress for long.

For losing weight, is it better to have carbs below protein?

a lot of people do well on 50/50 for pure weight loss (taking out the facotrs of muscle building). It depends on you, do you stay fuller eating meat or eating carbs? What will help you stick to your diet and binge less? Your carbs should be complex and high in fiber and they'll keep you fuller, longer.

    I'm at 18.7g fat. 154.1g carbs. 98g prot.

I'll do what it takes to lose weight, so I won't be binging. If I get hungry I'll eat an apple/banana/orange, one of the three.

yea, 98grams of protein is really low, your fat seems low too.

I eat more of both on a normal day and I only eat 1400-1600 calories a day.

So you're eating ~1175 calories per day? How much do you weigh? Unless you weigh about 90lbs, you should be eating way more than that...otherwise you're just asking to slow down your metabolism to a snail's pace.

Yah, I've been at about 1000-1200 calories a day, for a little over a week now. I weigh 244.

This is what typically happens to overweight people who go on crazy low calorie diets: they lose some weight, get off the diet (because it's not maintainable), and regain most of the weight.

Read the stickies and learn the basics of nutrition, up the calories, and do it the right way.

Typically, but not all the time? :-/

I'm just fed up with it, quit working out when I went to college and just bloated up.

I'll read through the stickies and figure something out.

Okay, so I'll aim for that.

But keep carbs and protein about equal?

Btw, this is with 45 min of lifting and 10-20 minutes medium intensity cardio.
