Rate my build v. never done this before

    Looking to spend ~$600, use it mainly for photoshop/lightroom/photo editing. My current laptop is not cutting it. I'll probably add another HD when I see a good deal. Still need to get an OS, may try something from this thread on that front.

    It's tigerdirect... seemed to have a better deal on comparable setups, but I may be wrong.

    This. And I would say dont even bother with a dual core anymore unless you never plan on doing any video editing.

    As others have said that's old stuff. The processor came out over 3 years ago. You can get a quad core system with warranty for <$700 from Dell, HP, Acer etc probably with a free display, 2-3GB memory, 320/500GB drive and OS.
