MMAWeekly has learned that Rani Yahya is set to replace Manny Tapia at WEC 30 against Chase Beebe for the WEC Bantamweight Championship.

Beebe was originally scheduled to defend his WEC Bantamweight Championship for the first time against former King of the Cage Flyweight Champion Manny Tapia, but Tapia has been forced to pull out of the fight due to a knee injury.

Yahya will now step in to replace Tapia as Beebe’s first challenger. Yahya was already rumored to be on the card to face Brian Bowles in his debut at bantamweight, as Yahya moves down from 145lbs to 135lbs.

Beebe became the WEC Bantamweight Champion at WEC 26, winning a unanimous decision over then champion Eddie Wineland. Yahya comes off a successful WEC debut at WEC 28, submitting UFC veteran Mark Hominick in the first round.

WEC 30 is scheduled to take place at The Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on September 5th and will air live on Versus starting at 6PM PST/9PM EST.

looks like Yahya's gonna choke a bitch out
