does the viewfinder have any attachement to the lens for focusing purposes or do you pretty much have to guess?

or do you focus with the seperate viewfinder and match a numerical distance on the lens?

    no clue

I have only messed with 1 rangefinder, but as you turned the focus, it adjusted the lens and the viewfinder

nevermind...i think i figured it out...i was looking at a old poloroid cam i had stored away...it had a small circular viewfinder for the focus and then you have a bigger viewfinder with focal length marks to show exactly what will show on film...

ive messed with a leica where the focus worked like how willg133 said, but i'm thinking of getting a bessa t for cheap
