Well, just finished cleaning my 91/30 (and making some noodles), and I thought I would do a range report. Me and hossb7 brought two guns to the range today, his 10/22 and my 91/30, it was about 48ish degrees, but windy, so it was kinda cold. Lots of fun shooting the Mosin, anybody that doesnt have one should get one, if for nothing else than the ammo is cheaper than any modern stuff could be. Lots of recoil, but it shoots straight (though a little to the right), and lots of fun. On the other hand, either we got a bad batch of federal .22, or it sucks in general, because niether of us could put a complete 10 round mag through the ruger without it stove piping. We dont think it is the gun or the mags, since they have worked perfectly in the past. cliffs: 91/30 = big boom, slightly sore shoulder; federal .22 ammo = shit.
