for those of us unlucky enouph to live in the city. i just re-newed my membership at the range and the fee went up to $60.00usd. they said the increase was for more ranges, more targets, better tactical facilities. i am not upset with the increase if it makes the range a better place at all. it kind of needs the upgrades.

the range is 5 mi. out of town on a private ranch. 25,50,100,200,300 yard ranges and a bunch of pistol/tactical areas.

how much is everyone else paying per year?

Shit, that's cheap. In Cincy the only indoor range is over $200 a year. Most of the outdoor ranges are around $75 a year + NRA membership is required, so that tacks on like another $25.

i agree it is pretty cheap considering the benifits and the closeness to town, besides the cleanup and destruction of his ranch. he is a nice guy as well. hell he even donates memberships to the local youth shooting club.

Does that membership also include range time? or do they zing you every time you go? Around here it's $100 a year, plus $15 every time you go. needless to say I don't go there. Being a broke college student sucks.

its just a flat 60 dollars, i can go anytime from sunup to sundown. there is no aditional cost unless you try one of the competitions. the rimfire is 5 dollars and is used to cover targets and stuff. i have not been confident enouph to try the pistol or centerfire matches yet. i need more practice for that.

I'm a member of two outdoor ranges. $60 per year for the one that's 15 minutes away and $80 per year for the one that's a 40 minute drive. The one further away is a much nicer range (multiple horseshoe shaped pistol bays, 200 yard rifle range, full auto range, trap and skeet) so I shoot there the most. The other range I joined because it is close. It's small and run down but it's fine for basic stuff like test firing firearms or sighting in a rifle.

thats why i said for us that live in the city, if i lived in the coutry i would do the same. i guess you could count the range fee as being your house payment/rent?

My closest indoor pistol range is $15 an hour. I will only go there when the mountains are too cold.
I much prefer shooting outdoors and it is legal in the national forests near me.

$100 at mine, we have outdoor 7/11/25/50/100/200/300 yard ranges, shotgun, full auto, about 7 action shooting ranges, and an indoor 25 yard range.

$100/year gets you all the range time you want (indoor pistol/shotgun or indoor rifle). No additional fees unless you use their targets or shoot their ammo.

the fuck. the closest long range outdoor is like $150 yr if you join in winter $300 if you join in summer. if you've never been a member before, you have to pay a $150 one time fee too.

Jeez I'm paying $175/year for an indoor range right now, but I think you only have to have the membership to rent a gun - once I get a personal handgun then I don't think I have to have a membership anymore.

I shoot for free at a very nice indoor range here. And when I say free I mean no range fee, free ammo, free targets, free refreshments, free gunsmithing. It pays to have friends from high school work at a gun range
