The major injury is that the rest of you people now understand that he had a fluke win over Crocop and no other winning supporting the ridiculous hype he was getting.

i really think if he hadn't had his nose broken, he might have won the fight.

Perhaps if he were able to land a few KO punches or kicks, yes. But prior to the slam that resulted in the broken nose, Randy was landing some good shots on Gonzaga's face. That and of course his domination of Gonzaga with the dirty-boxing up against the fence.

And remember, Gonzaga landed 2 staggering "Crocop-KO-type" kicks to Randy's face in the 3rd round, and neither one of them fazed him one bit. He just shrugged it off, and went back to the dirty-boxing/grappling strategy and dominated GG all the way to the TKO.

This guy was simply incredible last night.

If my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle.

I've said it before, but it just fits so well.

I dont believe that Randy or Gonzaga mattered in this fight, because neither is going to have the belt after what would have been their next fight. (Unless Dana protects Randy)

Gonzaga landed a great KO kick. Taking Crocop down doesnt seem to be rocket science, Gonzaga didnt beat him there.

Gonzaga's ground work went a long way to getting Cro Cop set up for the head kick.

Crocop said that he couldnt defend the kick because of all the punishment he took on the ground

    Link.

He was checking body shots the whole fight. Headkick came and he went to protect his body. It's called a mistake not too much punishment on the ground.

How is it a fluke that Gonzaga beat CroCop when Gonzaga dominated CroCop on the ground and then KO'ed him standing up??

Even Randy said Gonzaga had heavy hands and he rocked him a couple of times.

It was as much a fluke as Serra beating GSP. He was beat legitematley but not because they other guy was so much better. Small mistakes here and there, and not training hard enough. Crocop easily dodged all of Gonzagas punches, but he never countered the way he did with Silva. Crocop needs to get beat every once in a while to deflate his ego and get him to take opponents seriously.
