Recently upgraded to Verizon FiOS and that includes Verizon's version of McCaffee. Since that day, there have been alot of .tmp files turning up in my Recycle bin... Don't know what they are or what they might be for. Is it something bad?

I don't care if the .TMP files are related to McAfee or not, but you should uninstall McAfee, copy its installer onto a CD, and then set the CD on fire. That particular version is THE BIGGEST piece of shit ever. Literally. I measured it just to be sure.

Then install Avast! antivirus from www.avast.com.
