I do db squats (no cage) and deads along with step ups and calf raises. I usually have 5 days rest. I am doing incline treadmill work 6 days a week generally a half hour to 45 minutes. I have developed soreness in my right knee only it comes and goes.

I'm thinking perhaps I should lighten my weight on the DB squats and focus on form. The incline treadmill work I'd think would be easier on my knees than a step mill or jogging.

    You guys have any thoughts?

Do you stretch or foam roll at all?

No. I'm guilty I know. Any good stretches for the knees?

I don't know any good knee stretches besides sitting in a body weight squat for 30 seconds to warm up but I do know leg lifts (no weight, sitting at home) will help strengthen the knee. I have bad knees and that is pretty much the only advice an orthopedist could give me

that can be targeted I believe by the exercise. It consists of

sitting on your ass and holding your knee and bottom part of your leg up for 10 seconds, switch legs

then do the same again but with your ankle turned inwards and again with the ankle toward outwards. That will hit the sides. And you can bench with a brace but you obviously know that

i'd recommend foam rolling the inside of your leg then. when you're doing it, you'll probably feel pain/discomfort all along the thigh at first

Can you describe the pain? Sharp? Grinding? Have you made any changes to your routine lately?

I know my knees hurt like hell if I accidentally let them pronate while squatting. I have flat feet so I have to be very conscious of how they are moving. Maybe your form just slipped up momentarily.

Try running the elliptical or do another form of low impact cardio until the pain subsides. It's much easier on your joints anyway.
