I have a T30 thinkpad with 1.8 Athlon, 256 ram, and a 16 MB Radeon 7500, and whenever I play any game, I get random slowdown. I have updated my drivers, and nothing helps. I think it might be my ram, but im not sure. I can't play any game without slowdown. I can't even play couterstrike. :sad2:

comps a little weak especially the video card
I think that is probably the random slowdown, just your computer being overworked
if you can get a better vid card and 256 or 512 more ram you should be fine though
but is it the actual 1.8 GHz athlon or is it the athlon 1800+?

I'm planning on getting 256 more ram soon, but I can't change the video card, cause it's a laptop. Yes, it's the actual 1.8 Ghz.

Notebooks usually have CPU throttling, so when they start to get hot they'll slow down the CPU to keep things cool. That could be part of the problem :dunno:

Is there anything I could do to limit that?

Might be an option in the BIOS or something. Not sure :dunno:
