jesus....nice...you must be 120
I would die around mile #2.
Har har, too bad you'd be taking twice as many strides, stumpy.
you would roll to a 15 minute mile
Treadmill or outside?
yeah treadmill is a lot easier than on a track
i think trails are easier, you have more scenic path and aren't doign laps over and over...
Right... so I cant complete even 1 mile at 7 mins... i can do about 7:40 then i crap out.
I did 4 miles the other day at a 7.5 minute pace. It kicked my ass and I was sore for two days.
I ran on the treadmill yesterday for the first time in like 9 months. I've just been doing the bike lately, but would like to start running now that the weater is getting better.
I did about 1.5 miles, but the muscle on my shins (dunno what it's called) just couldn't go any more than that. My wind felt fine, though. Hopefully, that muscle will get built up a bit more so it won't be a problem for much longer.
i suck outside. dunno how to pace myself.
same happens here, they cramp up. i need to do 3 miles in ~23 minutes (might join military in ~5 months), right now i can only do 1 mile in 7:40
i did it outside...i dont know....im pretty good at pacing i guess, you really gotta pump your arms, it helps time it....i was probably at like a 6:40min pace for the first 4 miles.....then i got tired....and it averaged out to about 7.
it was tough as hell....i had my buddy do it with me, its a lot easier to stay on pace when u have a running partner.
I was thinking this as well.. could be an avg
either way that's good!
You should work on negative splits instead of positives
I agree with the pacing. a lot of runners in my group like to pace with me
My quickest 1 mile time ever was 6:22.
I weigh 167.
When I run my 3 miles for the PFT though, I can't hold that 6:22 pace for more than 1.5 miles or so, then I drop off to a little over 7 minute mile pace.
I did 4 miles at that pace last week and I wanted to kill myself. GJ
I don't think I could run with someone else.
i wanted to die after an 8 min mile pace 3 weeks into running
2 weeks back i ran 5.76km in 40 mins.... Road run, up and down hills, really was a good challenge since most of my cardio is HIIT through racketball.
I'm gonna run in the bay to breakers and my goal is sub 60 on the 7.1 mile course. True thats slower than 7 mins, but right now im my training I hit 4.25 miles @ 24:25 . I'm on track In my opinon.
Running rules because it gets you high.
my timed best is 5 miles in 38 mins.
