    I've got a 17" 1ghz Powerbook.

I currently have 512mb installed. It appears that there are 2 slots available. Can I remove the 512mb chip and install 2 1.0gig chips? or is 1 gig the max ram (2 512mb slots). A few spec sheets I have read says 1gig max, however apple offers a 1.0 gig chip for my model. Lastly where does everyone buy thier Ram and whats the best value.
