Hi, I just purchased 1GB of corsair value select - it has two 512 modules. I have a 754 socket amd64 3200+. Will there be a compatibility issue since, 754 does not support dual channel memory? I have not opened the memory yet. Thanks.

i'm not sure, if no-one else knows i'd assume that it functioned as a single 1024 or dual 512.

no, it will just show up as 1024 megs, it will just not use dual channel and will work without conflicts, i have done this many times before since buying memory in pairs is cheaper than buying two sticks separately.

why the fuck would they give you three slots on the mobo if you could only install one stick? Now isn't it pretty damn obvious that 2 sticks of 512MB would work, and yield a total of 1024MB?
