It's gonna rain today, but I really need to wash my car since I have about 100 dead bugs stuck to my grill, hood, and windshield from a long distance trip I made yesterday. Should I just wash it in the rain?

Yes, definitely. Bug guts are very acidic and they will eat through the paint if you leave them there long enough.

Every time I take a road trip, I wash the front end of my car, even if the weather doesn't allow for a complete wash.

Will the rain wash it??? Hell no. The rain will just add a bunch of water spots.
If you have a garage, you could wash the car and dry it in the garage. Otherwise if you wash it and it's still raining, you will just have water spots afterward.
I would probably wash it in the rain anyway, then rinse it, then wait for the rain to end, wash/rinse it again, then dry it.
