are $180? each? For the receiver and the transmitter?

I thought these fucking things were supposed to be cheaper than the PW's?

Fuck that. PW's are the same price AND can work as reciever/transmitter.

I still don't get these damn things. Are they for sale yet or not? If $180 is for the I/E TTL capable models then it's worth it. If not, P-Dubs FTMFW.

$380 to power one flash. You need a receiver and a transmitter.

I think i'm just gonna start going full manual when I'm working outside of the CLS feature set.

Ahh, I got cha. To tell you the truth though, if I had to start over, or could re-coup the money from my PWs/Vivitars etc, I would look into the RPs. I have grown so facinated with high-speed sync and would love to be able to shoot wireless, f1.4-2.8 @ 1/1600+ in the noon-day sun. But for now, I really do love the ultimate reliablitly and flexability of the PWs. I think in the year or so I have been using them I have not gotten one misfire or no fire.

I really wish people would stop comparing the P1/P8 poppers with PW's... they aren't the same thing.

The hype for Radio Popper's really came when they announced the Radio Popper Jr's. Seems like they've done the norm and capitalized on the new found popularity of the product overall. I think they were talking about the Jr.'s being around the $25 range originally, now their saying below $100?

radio poppers got their buzz because of the P1's. People wanted the reliability of a Pocket wizard, but with ETTL functions... which the P1's provide.

Me personally... I have no use for wireless ETTL, but that's just me.
