Sup guys. I just installed a radeon x700. It replaced a radeon 9200. I already had the newest catalyst drivers installed with the 9200.

Do I need to reinstall the drivers? It seems to be working fine.

It's usually a good idea to uninstall the old drivers, then run Driver cleaner then install updated drivers.

That way if problems do come up you can rule out the drivers.

If it's working like normal, then leave it be.
If you are having problems or think you are, then install the drivers again over what is already installed the same version.

At the most you would need to do is uninstall the drivers then install them again. I would save Driver Cleaner when you're switching from ATI to nVidia (or vise versa as the case may be) or if you're having some real problems and it is driver related.

Windows should recognize the new drivers and install them since they use the same driver set.
