Rack pulls and front squats

    2 quick questions from today's workout:

    1. How high do you all set the pins for rack pulls? I did them today right at knee level which gave me around 12-14" ROM. I wanted to do them from lower but it was getting stuck under my knees. Are you supposed to start with the bar touching your legs?

    2. The last 2 weeks I've tried to front squat, I keep getting a sharp pinching pain around my right trap, whichever grip style I use. Doesn't happen with any other exercise. What teh problem is? It's not painful enough to stop me doing them, but really distracting.

    1) an inch or so below the knees
    2) I have no idea, do some other quad dominant exercise or just work through the pain

    You're resting the bar on your front delt right? Or how do you hold the bar?

    rack height depends on your failure point on normal deads, if you dont know around knee height is a good start

    i agree with that, but in that case, would you even do rack pulls as a bb'er? id even go as far to say deads are a bit 'extreme' for them.
