I'm looking for a new bike.. I had an f4i and it got stolen a year and a half ago. So I'm ready to sit down and buy a new bike. I'm stuck between the R6 and the 675. My local dealer is having a test drive day for triumphs tomorrow, so I'm going to go and give one a try, I'm sure that will help me in my decision, I just don't see a lot written about them.

I have a feeling i'm just going to get the one that offers me a better deal. I've only talked to the Yamaha dealer so far and I got an offer for 8999 plus tax and docs, which works out just under 9850. If Triumph comes close, I may get that instead.. it's a tough decision!

    How tall are you?

I'm 6'4'' and have been looking at the daytona since it's supposed to be a lil more forgiving to taller riders. So far everything I have read about it, all sounds good.

Also is the insurance the same for you as it would be on a typical 600?

I'm 5'11, you'd definitely be fine on it. I have 350+ miles on it already, and I am in love with this bike.

I don't know what insurance is like in Mo, its pretty ridiculous here in Jersey for the most part.. but rider insurance has really good rates if you qualify.. my f4i was about 900 and since the d675 is not considered a sport bike to my insurance company (beats me!?) I'm paiyng 438 a year, full coverage.

I couldn't be happier with this bike. I just need some more dough, I want an exhaust, and since my last one was stolen, first priority is lo-jack. This weekend probably for that.

You should have the spokes of the wheels painted gloss black and polish the rest of the wheel, that would just look sexy on thet bike. maby polish the frame and swing arm, ok, that'll be a winter project for ya. :)

Yea, I haven't quite decided yet what I want to do with the bike. exhaust is what i'm thinking first, but I hear akro is releasing a full system, so depending on how that looks, and is priced, I might just save up for that. Otherwise, the Jardine. I dunno.. I have to think about my plans with this thing.

i'm actually on the fence with the lo-jack idea now. If the bike gets stolen, and is found within a few hours, but theres damage, because they tossed it into a truck and it got beat up, do I eat the cost of the damage? I don't know if I'm better off getting the bike back or not. I really don't want to lose this one.
