as a first bike neither one, buy an early 90s 600 if you want something reasonably fast. even that is pushing it if you don't have any riding experience.

considering equal condition of either the R6 or 600RR, whichever fits you
    best.

If you're like 99% of all sportbike owners, the performance limitations are
going to be you, not the bike.

    that said, i <3 my R6 :)

when it comes to the jap 600's, forget about performance. go based off of what what you think looks better, and price/how well it was maintained.

i like the old RR's over Old R6's

but the newer r6's are damn sexy

and for a first bike, i'd just get a old ninja and lay it down a couple of times before i move up to a I4.

lol @ people saying 1 bike is better then the other. NONE of us can ride them to their potential, so get which one feels/looks best to you.

ug you fucking morons with your this bike is better than this bike bullshit.

look the r6 is more agile and the 600rr is more stable. just ride them both if you can and pick which one you like

I though the R6 are skinnier but taller. And the CBR are wider but shorter :dunno:

    I am 5'6"

i felt the K6 GSXR's were narrower than the R6's. i'm 5'7" with short legs, and i can get the balls of my feet down better on a gixxer than a r6 or r1. honda seats suck ass.

    besides, hands down 675.

    600rr hands down

If it was a liter bike i would suggest yamaha over honda, but i think the 600 honda is by far the better choice

1 liter is 1000 cubic centimeters, or cc. Example: Honda 1000RR, Yamaha R1, Suzuki GSX-R1000, & Kawasaki ZX-10R.
