both are around the same price range...gtr being a tad bit more expensive

most import companies will not provide boost patterns or compression tests. Which means its a hit or miss with the fd as the engine may be blown or on the verge of blowing. Try importconcern.ca as their brokers in japan will provide these numbers for you so Ive heard. Plus, I've seen more r32's in T.O than fd's, And R33 are legal in late 08/ early 09 I believe. Try the website, I've heard nothing but good things about that company and plan on purchasing a mkiv supra from them in late 08. Cheers

Fd RX-7 if you scrap the wankel and put an LSx motor into it instead.

If you've never owned an rx-7 (fb,fc,or fd) and have not done your research. You are in for some UNpleasant suprises. I think the 7 is the only car I know that has "reliability mods". Great car and VERY fun, as long as you give it the love it needs. I almost bought a usdm fd in oshawa but couldnt handle the thought of blowing a motor so easily as I had big plans for modifications. The thing that bothers me alot about these import fd's is that rotory engine need to be rebuilt if they haven't been run for a while. The apex seals become shitty and break. You really dont know how long these fd's have been sitting for waiting for auction. Hence why I said earlier GET A BOOST PATTERN AND COMPRESSION TEST. Cheers

Yeah, rx-7's are like bad girlfriends, they need alot of attention and need alot of money. A good gtr should run anout 13K. Try importconcern.ca they apparently have the best prices as they're service charge is pretty low due to the large amount of business they get. They even have they're auction source password up on the website. So you can go on this japanese auction site and check out what cars are up for sale. Honestly, I would say wait a year for the R33.

I'll let everyone else mention the bad parts of an FD, and I will point out one thing...

FD's were given the name "Godzilla Killer" for a reason

R32 is a pure racecar. Might be old, but 100% performance.
