What is the IFL? I haven't heard anything about it... haven't been browsing the MMA forums much lately.

New fight program/organization I can see... but is it big at all?

Yes it's big and they have a LOT of money. I can see a lot of the guys from UFC going over there if they get a chance. He has deeper pockets than Zuffa apparently and is willing to spend it.

i dunno about the teams based thing. sounds like a ploy to get noobs into it. They're probably gonna break the teams down once it's established and continue on like the conventional mma organizations. Its hard to imagine such an individual based sport having a team concept.

But either way, it's good to have a bigger organization take on UFC over here.

just checked out that site...IFL looks hella gay.
Teams win when fighters win 3/5 rounds? Team ANACONDA VS SILVERBACKS?
    gimme a break.
    It's an individual sport.

No I think IFL will have better fighters than most of the UFC guys can compete against.

Probably varies between the weight classes. It actually makes more sense that way.

Like in boxing, 16oz. gloves on a guy who's 6'3" 240 are tiny compared to a lightweight who is 5'8" 160. I guess they're going to be adjusting for the size difference.
