Quicktime + VLC - help

    so guys.. i DLed VLC and now i want to make it default movie viewer.. how do i do that?

    and i registered quicktime so it can be quicktime pro.. but now it will only play audio and has no video... kinda sucks..


    any suggestions?

    To make VLC the default go to the file that you want to watch. Ctrl click on it and choose get info. Under the open with tab choose VLC in the dropdown and then click change all. From now on VLC will be the default player for all files with that extension. You will just have to do that once for each file format (.mov, .mpeg, etc..)

    I'm not sure about the quicktime problem, except that if quicktime does not have support for the codec of the video sometimes it will still play the audio but the screen will just be white. The only thing that you can do about this is try and find a plug-in for quicktime to support it, or use VLC.
