I've used Quickpar fine for a long time, but in the past two weeks it has been causing my computer to reset several minutes into the recovery process. I have six dvdr's sitting on my computer that I can't use becuase I can't repair the files without my computer resetting itself.

What can cause Quickpar to make the computer to reset suddenly?

Yeah, it just restarts in the middle of recovering the files

Quickpar is a program that repairs *.par files you often get off newsgroups correct?

Seems like a software issue. I would defrag and run all my adaware/spybot stuff and then uninstall/reinstall the proggy (assuming it's windows).

    :dunno:
    just my 2c

If all you want to do is verify and repair PAR files (not PAR2) try using SmartPAR

Or you can also try using FSRaid which can not only verify and repair but also create PAR files

QuickPar I thought was only for PAR2 files

I use smartpar too. All I have are PAR2 files for the ones I'm having problems with.
