    I am in the process of rewriting code in c# that was written in vb. I need to know what <> means.

    Example:

    if from_d <> "" then
    from_str = " and dtenter >= '" & from_d & "' "

    ^^^ basically...

    It actually means "greater than or less than" but that could be simplified to !=.
