Thinking about getting some creatine and/or whey.

    I'm tall/skinny - 6'5"/195lbs - high metabolism

I read an article on about.com for hardgainers which recommended: 90 second rests between reps, 60 minute max workout, 6-15 reps, preferably with free weights (I'm currently doing bench press and free weight curls), no aerobic exercises to conserve calories for the workout. After the workout, I do pull ups to finish off. work out one day, rest the next day - on, off, on, off.

Can I get away with simply focusing on my upper body right now ??

yours legs account for a large portion of the muscle on your body...

a hardgainer should never neglect his legs, no one should

Dude, you're gonna get ripped apart by the guys in here! ibinforclusterfuck

Chest and biceps are small portion of your upperbody, Howabout the triceps, which make up like 2/3s of your arm? Howabout your shoulders? And back? Not only will you look silly, but your muscular imbalances could lead to injury.

Also, there's nothing worse than having a jacked upper body and a set of pencils for legs. Never neglect your legs.

Squats and deadlifts are the way forward in a total body workout, they may target certain muscle groups, but they hit everywhere!

You seriously need to read the stickies too;I think my above paragraph is about the only advice you'll get in here. :hsd:

Cool, I just read a couple more articles. Today is my rest day. Tomorrow, I'll make sure to work out the entire body. And we are only allowed to have a certain amount of food here - sharing limited amount of food. The only extra food I can get is snacks.

in less than a month i move to a bigger base, and at that base we will be able to purchase supplements at the store. It takes nearly 3 weeks for mail to get here, so i'm not going to even bother. I just want to know what to get when I get there.
