im new to working out and have a question. When im doing weights, is it better to use heavy weights and do like less reps, or lighter weights and do more reps. or is it just the same?

This is pretty vague but can anyone help?

dont ever use the word toned again around here. there is fat loss/gain, and there is muscle loss/gain. there is no tone.

why bother cutting down first if you're just gonna bulk up and get fatter?

start bulking now, read all the stickies. read all the archives. dont go supplement happy. get urself protein and creatine/cee and limit urself to that. no you're not a good candidate for superdrol. get urself on a routine like christophers' base routine (found in the archives) and stick to that for a few months.

    read read read.

you probably think that youll cut down, have definition, and when you start to bulk up, all you'll see is muscle gains and wont get any fatter

thats not happening... since youre new to working out, eat and lift heavy and get some muscle (and fat) on you... then when you feel like you cant get any fatter... eat and lift some more

    then cut
