I have tried every setting but these pos kit lenses can't quite get it even though I see a perfect opportunity for a moon lighting picture.

Iso 200, f/8, 1/200th of a second, play around with settings from there, mostly shutter to get different amounts of detail. 200mm of reach on a 1.6x is the minimum I've seen that can really work, but you can try anything.

I don't think he's aiming for pictures of the moon itself...it sounds as if he's attempting to use the light from the moon as a light source for a picture.

Get a tripod and learn how to use the camera.

Bro, I tried every possible setting. I wasn't carrying the camera. I put it on a resting place. Still it couldn't get to frame the damn picture. :ugh:

You're blaming the camera body on your lack of a wide angle lens?

Do us a favour and walk backwards a bit. Be that off a cliff or backwards far enough so you can frame your shot.

Put the dial on M and adjust your settings accordingly.

    Wait what?

Are you having problem setting up your Rebel XT for long exposure or you having problem looking through the viewfinder?
