just wondering why, when suggesting new handguns, you dont mention Beretta...? like the 9000s Px4 and the standard 96 i think they are...

im from Aus, so handguns are considered the devil  but in other circles, eg. where i shoot skeet and trap, Beretta is the top of the range, any armourer is keen to tell you that.

    just wondering... thanks

Beretta in my experience have been top quality guns, I have a 96 Elite which has had 25k rounds thru the gun before I even got my hands on it. I've put another 3k on it and I absolutely love the gun. However it is one of the more picky guns when ammo is concerned, my 96 as well as my 92 Vertec would be finicky when it came to ammo that it feed and eject, which isn't even a concern with my Glock 23. Just my personal experience with Berettas, also I love their shotguns.

I have had bad experiences with them. I've never owned one... but my buddy has a 92 and it jams all the time when we're shooting. And a guy I work with used to be a state trooper... and he carried a 96 and said it was a piece of crap. Plus they're kinda pricey. I don't think they're terrible guns... there are just better guns for the money when it comes to suggesting new handguns.

I had a 96 (.40S&W) and it was the worst gun ever...i'd NEVER get another one. I sold it and got the Sig 226 (.40S&W) and it's 1000X better

    I've got a Taurus PT92 (92fs clone). It's a great gun. Never had any ftf's or fte's.

The 9x's aren't bad guns, but they seem to be on the low end of the scale when compared to Sig, Glock, HK, and the likes. I have a 96FS and I really like it, although the finish is kinda crappy.

Another problem is that their inclusion of more and more plastic parts turns a lot of people off.

The PX just hasn't been out long enough for a lot of people to get experience with it. Plus it's looks take a bit of getting used to.

    thanks...

the best shotgun ive ever shot was a beretta, but the guy payed through the nose to get it... it seems they know their shotguns but missed the target with the pistols. i guess i'll keep putting away cash to one day get a beretta shotgun, but for now im happy with my little Rizzini
