My question is, I have cingular so I'm assuming I just pop my old sim card from my treo in the new phone and I'm up and running. Is this correct? Also, the phone operates on triband 900/1800/1900. My Treo 650 is quad band, I think 750/900/1800/1900. Whats the difference mean, will I received decreased quality in reception? Also, any other recommendations?
    Thanks

Your treo is 850/900/1800/900, theres no 750 band

Cingular mostly opperates on the 1900 band in major citys but use the 850 band a lot. Plus the 850 band is better at penetrating walls etc.

So, with cingular, without thr 850 band you won't get great service. Now, there are people who still go against this, and I used a 900 band phone for a bit with cingular, and in someplaces I had the best coverge, but then it would just drop and I would get a lot of dead zones.

I'd sugest the D807, its pretty similar to that phone I think. Go to phonescoop.com to do a side by side comparison.

I even did the compairison for you

    http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/compare.php?id[]=890&id[]=966&id[]=&id[]=&id[]=

Well, your phone i a lot better, 2 MP camrea (over 1.3), better screen (176x220 vs 240x320), and its slightly smaller and slightly less weight.

Go to www.howardforums.com and post in either the samsung section (looking for a quad-band alternative to the e900) or go to the "What phone should I get" section and ask for an e900 phone with the 850 band. i bet the samsung forum would be faster.
