Is the tune up worth it or is it something I can do?

Could I just go in without that membership and pay a one time fee to have them tune it up?

I couldn't see why you couldn't do it. It like taking your PC to the geek squad so they can "check" it out. Waste of money, IMO

    to finalboss.

Go into your store and but apple care. It's the best thing you can buy for any mac laptop, hell any mac computer. I'm a Mac Specialist and people think i'm trying to just sell them it because i have to (which i do) but i can't count how many times that my own applecare has made a repair on my computer happen that otherwise wouldn't have due to financial binds.

The Omnicleanz kit from Radtech is really good stuff too. That's all I use on my MB.

They pretty much gave mine the yearly tune-up when my CD-R drive crashed. And I was under warranty.

No sys dio, but new casing and a cleaned up keyboard and monitor.
