    I need a php script that cleans the first column of a csv file from special characters (~`!@#$%^&*()+={}[]:;?/<>,. etc)

    I don't know php from my ass, but from what I understand it should be pretty cut and dry.

    Anyone out there that can help me out with this? or at least point me in the right direction? Running it from shell is fine, don't need a pretty gui etc.

    :bowdown:

    Or a PM/Direction of a good php/sql guy who is willing to work on quick little jobs like this for paypal works as well.

    BTW willing to pay for this work if someone is willing to sit down and give me exactly what I need, also have some ideas to make it a little better fit to what I want (batch through all files in the current directory etc) but don't want to start making things too complicated for myself if I'm doing it myself.

    Should be ..

    Code:
    $newstr = preg_replace("/\~\`\!\@\#\$\%\^\&\*\(\)\+\=\{\}\[\]\:\;\?\/\<\>\,\./", "", $string);
