    i am embarrassed that i don't know the answer, but i don't.

is a RDIAS legal to run in an AR-15 or does it need to be in a pre '86 M-16?

NO, i am not buying one, i am not thinking of buying one, i was just presented with the question and i did not know the exact answer.

any NFA guru's that can pitch in?

i am assuming that since it is just a sear, and since it is registered, that it can be moved into any host, correct?

    or wrong?

    TIA!

AFAIK, since it's the sear that is registered, it can go in any gun.

Yeah, as long as the sear is registered, you can put it in whatever.

from what i've read, it's just the sear... same thing with HK weapons too. can be post '86 manufacture, but the sear is what was registered before '86.

What i've always wondered about RDIAS was whether or not you could make a new one if the old one broke with the same serial?

$200 tax stamp PLUS about $12k (give or take, i ain't priced 'em lately) for the RDIAS.
