quick cardio question

    Would a two ( morning then evening ) 25 minute running sessions be as effective as one 50 minute ?

    I've read that two shorter sessions are better than one long session.

    Why guess if you have no inkling of what you're talking about? If you have personal experience to draw on that is one thing, but don't just answer peoples questions incorrectly for no reason.

    Well I just did more research on this and I've read the opposite of what I read before on another site. None of this "advice" sites any sort of research though.

    The body doesn't like to be shocked. If you settle into a "running rhythm" for an hour you PROBABLY won't gain/lose as much as if you had shocked your body twice for 30 minutes. This is somewhat the same concept as interval training. Of course, this is theoretical. Do whatever works best in your schedule and will make you most likely to stick with your routine. If that isn't a consideration, I would do 2*30.

    I think one 50 minute session would be better in terms of building aerobic endurance.
