    I have a ps3 so I will have blu ray

    if you're gonna do a lot of blu-ray, then yes I think 1080p is a good idea.

    if it's mostly tv, then no.

    How far away from the display will you sit? If more than 6 or 7 feet away 1080p probably isn't worth the extra money, although another $300 isn't a huge jump to have the added feature.

    panasonics look great regardless

    if your planning on hooking up a pc to the tv in the future, go with 1080p

    currently they list it as only 200 more. I would get it. it's not that much more and with blueray you will have 1080p content.

    second thought: get the 1080p only if you have surround sound. if not get the 720 and get some.
