Questions for you all: Still the same or have you changed?

When you finally reached your initial goal of changing your body..etc
whether that was going from a rail to buff, a blob and fit or just
toning/cutting a lot more did you find your attitude and views of certain things/people to be the same as they were when you weren't so "hot", "in shape", "getting more looks" or "good looking" according to what society thinks is attractive(if you weren't already before)? OR did you pretty much stay the same?

Basically are you more conceited and/or just more confident(if you lacked it to begin with)? Has your self esteem improved or is it still the same?

Just curious bc I was telling some friends of mine if I ever turn into a conceited bitch to please don't hesitate to shut me the hell up and put me back in my place so to speak.
I'd never want to be like those people with horrible attitudes b/c they've lost
an extreme amount of weight, buffed up or whatever the case may be.

ok I'm done rambling. Just curious about your attitudes throughout your transformations.

Oh, and there's nothing wrong with being "proud" of your accomplishments. I hope I made some sense :hs:

It all depends; I've always switched up my attitude regardless. I think now I'm a bit more confident; but that doesn't erase the kind of shyness I've always had. I don't really think o man I can't holler at this girl cuz of blah blah... and if I get rejected I don't mind, cuz I'll move to the next girl, though that might be maturing from past relationships too.

I haven't gone through a big change so yeah...

I would say this applies to me.

Hmmm..... I've improved a little but still can't handle rejection. Instead of 6 months of therapy, rejection now just requires 1 month.

I am much more conscious of what I put into my body and I think I sometimes offend those around me when I decline to eat pound cake or some other treat a co-worker brings to the office.

Other than that, being healthy makes me happy. My wife said there is a "glow" about me when I returned to the gym in October.

Going from fat to fit and yeah, I have the attitude that if I can do it than other people can.

I'm also noticing more just how many fat people there are.

I think I've gained a ton of confidence, and the shyness has dropped drastically. I sometimes belittle what I can do, but will joke around with friends about fitness-related things. This hasn't only come from weight training, I joined the football team this year and that tought me how to take rejection and criticism properly.

I've definitely gained a ton of confidence in myself and my abilities in teh gym since I started. I realize I still have tons of work to do (lose another 25lbs then start some made clean bulking) so I am anywhere but cocky when it comes to the gym, unlike some people I've seen and heard at the gym.

I began to get cocky then I grew up and realized I was being a doosh, so now I am back to being quiet and shy.

I do have a lot more confidence, but it doesn't bother me what other people do or look like.

Oh my god, this post is just at the right time. I was on the phone with my friend and he mentioned that i've "changed". I asked him what he meant, and he said that, all I talk about is muscles and stuff and that i'm now cocky and arrogant.

    :wtf: not true.

I'm the same Weekend Warrior type kind of shape. I have had a beard for the past 15 months. I find that more breezies/girls like it on me. It is also one of the perks from my job, that I don't have to shave.

  I think it's just part of relationship maturity that I've gone through, I just kinda see it as well not like I really knew you anyways you just looked good, and oh hey there's a cute girl over there... as far as dating a girl, that changes it some, but just trying to pick a girl up, yeah...

    and you get rejected? :eek4:

i'm more confident and happier with myself. i am also quicker to get impatient with people who reject exercise outright as 'useless' when they are obviously in urgent need of it

    more confident, still kinda shy.

not cocky but i notice i wear wifebeaters more often around my friends that are girls :hsugh:

i tend to notice out of shape people more, but not necessarily in a negative way. i notice fit people more, too. just notice the strong points and weak points in their body composition. whether or not their eating enough, etc.
