What are the details? I know it was a prop gun that turned out to really shoot him on the set of the Crow, but who was blamed, and why would a prop gun turn out to be a real firearm? What scene was it? How far into the movie? What are the conspiracy theories? Who was rumored to be behind the “murder” if it was indeed a hit?

Later it was ruled an alleged accident right?

I saw the movie, 'The Crow' a few days ago and a friend of mine was explaining it. Apparently it happened on the very last day of shooting when they were shooting the scene where he gets shot. There were a few things they had to redo and use a stunt-double for, but the entire movie is still him - which is pretty creepy. It's also creepy how they used the real footage from his death in the movie... :eek3:

The prop man fucked up the prop bullets. One was fired and disloged in the chamber.

The next shot was too powerful (Flash Powder) and fired the broken off piece of the bullet into Brandon Lee.

I always thought it was just a complete accident. I mean I head that it was a real firearm that they loaded with blanks, but no one either checher the chamber or there was a real bullet lodged inside and when the force of the blank was exerted it drove the bullet into the his ass.

Na, I think his dad got sick or something.

Either that or it's that Chinese curse that was put on his family cuz his dad taught "outsiders".

95% of the movie is him.

If I remember, the scene he died in is when The Man shoots him in the church point blank. Originally I had heard it was the scene where all the mob guys opened fire, but later found out it was just that single shot that actually got him. :sadwavey:

I didn't see the last twenty minutes - went to go get some food about a half hour before it ended. My friend told me it looked exactly like him... :dunno:

i'd say 90% of the movie is him. :fawk: watch the church parts carefully ... he's out for more than you'd think.

it was a single shot when he was standing on top of the table. at least thats what the last couple documentaries stated.

Also, movies aren't filmed in sequence so the end of the movie where Lee is 'dead' could have been filmed before he was actually killed :slap:

so why would they have a replacement be filmed instead of the star if the star is still alive? does that make sense?

I gotta say the actor who killed him probibly felt, and feels, pretty shitty about doing it.

To my understanding the guns were real, as in most movies, and they just use blanks to give it an authentic look. The actor they finished the movie with used like a mold of Brandon Lee's face that he wore, and I am pretty certain they avoided close ups. But the majority of the movie was completed before his death. I would have to assume that it was purposely done, there is a scene where hundreds of rounds are fired into him, and one of them happens to be real? What is a real bullet doing anywhere near this set? and why just one? If someone was ordering blanks, or live rounds they would come in boxes of say 50 and up. I speculate someone planted it there, knowing that all these guns were going to be aimed at him for this scene, and one should be enough. Probably the Chinese mafia that was supposedly after Bruce Lee, for teaching so many people to defend themselves against their tyranny before he moved to America.
